POMONA, N.J. - Lauren DeLuca '10 finished in second place in the 1500 meter run (4:53.24) while teammates Rebecca Hammond '13 and Kate Gonzalez '12 weren't far behind, taking third (4.54.81) and fourth (5.06.23) respectively to highlight the Swarthmore women's outdoor track & field team's performance at the Richard Stockton Osprey Invitational on Saturday afternoon. BALTIMORE - No. 14 Johns Hopkins used the power of the long ball, blasting nine home runs and pushing 30 runs across the plate to sweep a Saturday afternoon doubleheader with the Swarthmore College baseball team 15-4 and 15-3 in Centennial Conference action.

WESTMINSTER, Md. - McDaniel's Lisa Jurd, Brittany Baer and Anna Beaudry each recorded hat tricks as the homestanding Green Terror defeated the Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team 16-3 on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action.
Junior Amy Vachal, junior Emily Evans and sophomore Marie Mutryn all found the back of the net for the Garnet (6-3, 0-3), who took the early 1-0 lead thanks to Evans' goal, but saw the Green Terror (1-2, 7-4) score nine of the game's next 10 goals.

Pollen is an above-knee amputee who recently broke the six-year-old paralympic S9 American record in the 100 yard freestyle and captured the national championship in the S9 classification 50 meter freestyle while taking second place in the 100 meter freestyle at the 2010 U.S. Paralympics Spring Swimming Nationals from San Antonio in March.
