SWARTHMORE, Pa. – It certainly was a year to remember for Swarthmore Athletics: seven playoff teams, three All-Americans, 11 first-team Centennial Conference members, six Centennial gold medalists and one national champion and American record holder. With the 2009-10 season officially in the rear view, the Swarthmore College Department of Athletics has decided to let the fans vote on the top Swarthmore Athletics moment of the past year.

Throughout the month of June, fans will be able to vote for their favorite Swarthmore moments via the poll at the bottom of the page. Lasting from June 2 to June 15, the current poll features 12 of top moments from the 2009-10 season selected by the Swarthmore Department of Athletics. On June 16, the list of 12 will be narrowed down to five, with the five events receiving the most votes moving to a final poll, which will last from June 16 to June 30. On July 1, the top Swarthmore Athletics event of the 2009-10 season will be announced.

Field Hockey Live Video Postponed Until Saturday

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Due to the threat of afternoon thunderstorms in the area, today’s live video stream of the Swarthmore field hockey match against Neumann has been postponed. The first live video stream for the Garnet field hockey team will now take place on Saturday at noon against No. 8 Johns Hopkins.

INDIANAPOLIS – Former Swarthmore College student-athlete Caitlin Mullarkey has been selected as a semifinalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year award. Mullarkey is one of 30 women remaining in the contest, which has been narrowed down from 132 representatives covering all three NCAA divisions and multiple sports.
