SWARTHMORE, Pa. – It certainly was a year to remember for Swarthmore Athletics: seven playoff teams, three All-Americans, 11 first-team Centennial Conference members, six Centennial gold medalists and one national champion and American record holder. With the 2009-10 season officially in the rear view, the Swarthmore College Department of Athletics has decided to let the fans vote on the top Swarthmore Athletics moment of the past year.

Throughout the month of June, fans will be able to vote for their favorite Swarthmore moments via the poll at the bottom of the page. Lasting from June 2 to June 15, the current poll features 12 of top moments from the 2009-10 season selected by the Swarthmore Department of Athletics. On June 16, the list of 12 will be narrowed down to five, with the five events receiving the most votes moving to a final poll, which will last from June 16 to June 30. On July 1, the top Swarthmore Athletics event of the 2009-10 season will be announced.

PHILADELPHIA — Swarthmore College student-athletes Kathryn Stockbower ’11 (women’s basketball), Maithili Parikh ’10 (badminton) and Sterling Satterfield ’10 (men’s swimming) have all been selected as Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Stars for their respective winter sports, the paper announced on Wednesday.

STERLING, Va. – The honors keep on coming for Swarthmore College junior Kathryn Stockbower, as the star of the women’s basketball team has been named to D3Hoops.com All-America Fourth Team, the organization announced on Sunday.

ATLANTA – Junior Kathryn Stockbower of the Swarthmore College women’s basketball team has been named a member of the 2010 WBCA State Farm Coaches’ All-America Honorable Mention Team for Division III, the organization announced on Friday morning.

STERLING, Va. – Junior Kathryn Stockbower of the Swarthmore College women’s basketball team has been named to the D3Hoops.com Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, the organization announced today.

The honor is just latest in a string of accolades for Stockbower (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin, Pa.), who in the past month has been named a finalist for the NCAA Division III State Farm® Coaches’ All-America Team while earning First-Team All-Centennial Conference honors for the third consecutive season.

LANCASTER, Pa. – Six Swarthmore student-athletes were named to the fall All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team today. The Centennial’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee created the team to emphasize sportsmanship within the Conference. All institutions elected one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-Centennial team.

ATLANTA, Ga, – Junior Kathryn Stockbower of the Swarthmore College women’s basketball team was named a finalist for the NCAA Division III State Farm® Coaches’ All-America Team by the WBCA on Tuesday afternoon.

LANCASTER, Pa. – Juniors Kathryn Stockbower and Ceylan Bodur of the Swarthmore College women’s basketball team have been named to the All-Centennial team, the conference announced on Tuesday afternoon. Stockbower is a first-team selection while Bodur is honorable mention.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Kathryn Stockbower ’11 of Swarthmore College has been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America women’s basketball team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Tuesday morning. Stockbower is a third-team selection in the College Division and the lone representative from the Centennial Conference.
