Garnet Women Close Out Season With 63-50 Win Over Haverford

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The juniors stole the show on Senior Day for the Swarthmore College women's basketball team (12-13, 9-11), as junior Ceylan Bodur and Kathryn Stockbower combined to score 42 of the Garnet's 63 points, as Swat used a huge second-half run to defeat visiting Haverford 63-50 on Saturday afternoon from Tarble Pavilion.

Bodur finished with 25 points while shooting 10-of-19, while All-American candidate Stockbower scored 17 and pulled down 12 rebounds to record to 64th double-double of her career.

LANCASTER, Pa. - A strong start for Swarthmore College men's swim team and the performance of freshman Jacob Benveniste highlighted the  first day of the Centennial Conference Championships for the Garnet swim teams on Friday evening from Franklin & Marshall.

The Garnet men find themselves in second place with 207 points - trailing only the first place Diplomats (258) after the first day of competition.  Benveniste was the lone Garnet swimmer to capture a top-three finish, clocking in at 4:44.56 in the 500-yard freestyle.
