Kramer Dominant as Garnet Badminton Defeats Haverford

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Swarthmore badminton team (4-1) defeated Haverford College 7-2 on Thursday evening.  Senior Kim Kramer led the Garnet with dominating wins over Stephen Sacchetti 21-14 and 21-15.
Kramer was just one of the stars for the Garnet, as Swat swept singles play against the Fords.  Junior Maithili Parikh played an impressive match as she handled Alex Warres for the  21-13, 21-17 win.

Also capturing singles wins for the Garnet were sophomore Nick Vogt, sophomore Josh Vertolli, and freshman Cole Armstrong.

Swarthmore went on to win two doubles matches with the dynamic duos of Kramer and Parikh along with senior Robert Manduca and freshman Sebastian Bravo.

The Swarthmore badminton team returns to action Monday, February 22nd with a match against Bryn Mawr in Tarble Pavilion.  The shuttlecock flies at 7 PM.
