SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Reigning two-time Centennial Conference Player of the Year Rachel Wallwork reached the Flight A singles final to lead the Swarthmore College women's tennis team on the final day of the Swarthmore Invitational. SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Last season, the Swarthmore College men's soccer team traveled to Stevens Tech and ended the Ducks' 62-game home winning streak. A year later, at Clothier Field Stadium, the result was the same.
Sophomore Roberto Contreras IV scored in 23rd minute on a beautiful volley in the front of the box and the Garnet defense put a stranglehold on the potent Ducks' offense, as No. 11 Swarthmore (4-0) defeated No. 2 Stevens Tech 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The victory marks the highest-ranked opponent ever defeated by a Swarthmore men's soccer team on record. The win is also the program's first win against a Top 5 opponent since the Garnet topped No. 5 Stevens Tech last season.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Garnet volleyball team (7-2) played spectacularly this weekend to keep its streak alive winning seven of its last eight games, defeating Cabrini College 3-1 and capturing a well deserved Garnet Classic championship. Sophomore Genny Pezzola won MVP of the tournament and sophomore Lisa Shang was named to the All-Tournament Team.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Senior Rachel Wallwork finished 2-0 in singles play while freshmen Emily Rosenblum, Kelsey Johnson and Tayler Tucker also picked up singles victories to lead the host Swarthmore women’s tennis team at the season-opening Swarthmore Invitational.
Wallwork, the two-time Centennial Conference Player of the Year, defeated conference rivals Jaclyn Porter of Haverford 6-0, 6-1 and Anita Bhamidipati of Johns Hopkins to move into the Flight A singles final round on Sunday.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College volleyball team (5-2) kept the ball rolling at the 7th Annual Garnet Classic, as the Garnet earned a pair of victories on Saturday afternoon, topping Albright College 3-1 and Wesley College 3-0. Sophomore Genny Pezzola and freshman Kat Montemurro led the Garnet on offense with a combined 40 kills for the day.
