SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Junior Krista Scheirer got it done with her bat and with her glove, blasting a solo home run in the fifth inning while igniting a game-ending double play at shortstop to lead the Swarthmore College softball team (7-9) to an exciting 6-5 victory over visiting Cabrini in the second game of a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon from Clothier Field. Streaking Garnet Rally Past Mules 6-5

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - A four-run late inning surge by the Swarthmore College baseball team (8-6, 1-0) and a game-saving play by sophomore third baseman Spencer Ross in the ninth propelled the Garnet past Muhlenberg (6-8, 0-1) 6-5 on a rainy Tuesday afternoon at Clothier Field.

The five-game winning streak is Swarthmore's longest since 1996 when the Garnet won six straight games.  The victory also marks the first time Swarthmore has opened Centennial Conference play with a win since 2000.

Rain Postpones Swarthmore Home Golf Match

SWARTHMORE, Pa. -Today's scheduled home debut for the Swarthmore College golf team has been postponed by rain and lighting in the area. No make-up date has been set. The Garnet will return to action this Saturday with the two-day McDaniel Invitational.
