Colombo Breaks Program Goals, Points Records With Hat Trick as Garnet Defeat Bryn Mawr 5-0

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Megan Colombo, it's your time to shine.

The Garnet senior broke the all-time program records for career goals and points  with her goal in the 26th minute, while adding two more goals to complete the Garnet's first hat trick since since 2007 - which was also done by Colombo - as the Swarthmore College women's soccer team (5-4-2, 4-1) defeated Bryn Mawr 5-0 on Saturday afternoon from Clothier Field Stadium.

Junior Samantha Song and freshman Megan Brock both scored the first goals of the season in the second half, helping the Garnet win its third consecutive Centennial Conference match and remain near the top of the Conference standings. Read the rest of this entry »

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Swarthmore volleyball team (13-4, 3-1 CC) went on a 7-0 run capped off by four straight aces from sophomore Allison Coleman to win game three and take down conference opponent Bryn Mawr (6-8, 2-3 CC) 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-17) on Thursday night in Tarble Pavilion.

Kansas City, Kan. -  The Swarthmore College men's soccer team (9-0-1, 3-0-1) rose to No. 2 in the latest NSCAA/HendrickCars.com National Poll - a new program high - and held steady at No. 2 in the D3Soccer.com Poll, the organizations announced on Tuesday.

Garnet Golf Fights Through Heavy Rain to Take Seventh in Swarthmore College Invitational

WILMINGTON, Del. - Monday afternoon brought cold weather, heavy winds and blistering rain but it wasn't enough to stop the Swarthmore College golf team and 14 other teams from playing in the Swarthmore College Invitational where LaSalle University would capture the crown with a low score of 316.  The Garnet would finish seventh with a score of 340.

University of Pennsylvania's Phil Winter would shoot the low score of the day with a two-over-par 73.

Fredericksburg, Va. - Freshman Daniel Park defeated teammate and fellow freshman Robert Xie to capture the B3 Singles Championship, sophomore Sam Clark took first in the B5 consolation flight and a trio Garnet reached the semifinals of the Championship Singles consolation bracket, as the Swarthmore men's tennis team competed at the ITA Southeast Fall Regional from the University of Mary Washington over the weekend.
