CARLISLE, Pa. - For the second time in 24 hours, poor shooting came back to bite the Swarthmore College men's basketball team.
Playing on consecutive days for the first time in nearly two months, the Garnet (5-17, 4-11) once again could not find any kind of offensive rhythm, shooting a season-low 26.5 percent as homestanding Dickinson (4-17, 4-12) rallied from a halftime deficit to defeat Swarthmore 52-46 on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action. RESULTS
SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Down 18 points in the second half, the Swarthmore College men's basketball team (5-16, 4-10) mounted a furious rally get to within six points of visiting Washington College (11-8, 9-6) with under three minutes to play, but two big baskets from Washington's Kevin Breslin - who scored a career-high 31 points - halted the rally and helped the Shoremen hang on for the 73-64 victory over the Garnet on Friday evening from Tarble Pavilion. SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Freshman Eliza Polli scored 14 points on four-of-four shooting from behind the arc - including a crucial three-pointer in the final three minutes of play - while classmate Madeline Ross also dropped 14 points to lead the Swarthmore College women's basketball team (10-12, 7-10 CC) to a much needed 65-59 victory over the Washington College Shorewomen (9-13, 7-10 CC) Friday night in Tarble Pavilion. SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Another day, another postponement for Swarthmore Athletics.
The second major snow storm to hit the Mid-Atlantic in less than five days has forced the postponement of tonight's scheduled home basketball doubleheader versus Washington College. The games will now be played on Friday, February 12 (6:00 p.m./8:00 p.m.) The postponement is the fourth for the Swat basketball teams in the last week.

RESULTS
CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Senior All-American Anne Miller stole the show from snowy Washington College, breaking the Casey Swim Center record and earning an NCAA B-cut time in the 200 butterfly (2:07.84), as the Swarthmore College swim teams earned a split against Centennial rival Washington, with the men earning a 121-77 victory and the Swat women (4-6, 2-5) falling to the Shorewomen 120-84 on Tuesday evening.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - For a third time, winter weather has postponed Swarthmore's scheduled men's and women's basketball doubleheader versus Johns Hopkins. Tonight's scheduled games have been moved yet again - this time to Monday, February 15 at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. from Tarble Pavilion.
Meanwhile, Wednesday's scheduled swim meet at Washington College has been moved up to Tuesday (6:30 p.m.) in hopes of avoiding another winter storm expected to move through the Mid-Atlantic.
