Junior Neil Mejia (3-1) and freshman Dylan Jensen (2-1) each provided quality starts from the mound and the Garnet offense pounded out 30 hits and 27 runs on the day, as Swat swept McDaniel 16-5 and 11-6 on Saturday afternoon from Clothier Field.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – An enticing final minute surge by the Swarthmore College men’s lacrosse team was not enough to overcome a four-goal run by No. 10 Dickinson in the second half as the Garnet fell to the Red Devils 7-6 on Saturday afternoon from Clothier Field Stadium. The Garnet (1-4, 0-2) fell in the final seconds to the nationally-ranked Red Devils (8-0, 1-0), as senior Gavin Musynske’s potential game-tying goal missed the back of the net by mere inches, nailing the post as the final seconds ticked away.

Miller Earns Sixth Career All-America Honor With Record-Breaking Time in 100 Butterfly

MINNEAPOLIS – Swarthmore College senior women’s swimmer Anne Miller finished in 14th place in the 100 yard butterfly at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday evening, touching the wall in a Swarthmore College record-breaking time of 56.66, earning All-America honors for the sixth time in her illustrious career.

Softball Back to Winning Ways With Sweep of PSU-Abington

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – A return to the friendly confines of Clothier Field was just what the Swarthmore College softball needed following a six-game Spring Break road trip, as the Garnet dispatched visiting Penn-State Abington 9-0 and 16-3 to sweep the doubleheader on a gorgeous Tuesday afternoon from the College.

Freshman Kate Smayda had all-around outstanding performance for the Garnet, combining for three hits and four RBI at the plate while winning Game 2 on the mound for her first collegiate victory. Sophomore Liz Cushing and fellow freshman Danielle Seltzer each combined for the three hits and three RBI over the two games.

Garnet Sports Network Announces Live Video and Audio Schedule for Spring Season

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College Department of Athletics and the Garnet Sports Network has released the live video and audio schedule for the 2010 spring sports season. The network will provide free live video from Clothier Field and free audio from the Clothier baseball and softball fields, totalingover 40 Swarthmore athletic events during the spring season.

During the 2009 fall and winter sports seasons, the Garnet Sports Network attracted over 8,500 viewers from all 50 states and 16 countries around the globe.
