No.2 Bullets Blank Swarthmore Lax 17-0
GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Gettysburg senior Hollis Stahl scored four goals while junior Marnie Cummins dished out a career high six assists as the No.2 Bullets (8-1, 3-0) proved to be too much for the Swarthmore College women's lacrosse team, blanking the Garnet 17-0 on Saturday afternoon from the Battlefield.
The Garnet (5-2, 0-2) could do little to stop the mighty Bullets, who owned significant advantages in shots (33-7) while forcing 30 Swat turnovers and stopping 17 Garnet clear attempts.
In goal for Swat (5-2, 0-2), senior Allison Grein made five saves while facing constant pressure.
The shutout of the Garnet was the eighth in Gettysburg program history.
The Garnet will look to get back on track Tuesday against Widener from Clothier Field Stadium (7:00 p.m.).
