TCNJ Topples Garnet Tennis in 5-4 Battle

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – TCNJ’s Steven Fernandez defeated Swarthmore sophomore Steven Youngblood 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the decisive No. 1 singles match as the Lions outlasted the Swarthmore College men’s tennis team 5-4 on Saturday afternoon from the College Avenue Courts.

LANCASTER, Pa. — The Swarthmore men’s tennis team earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference Men’s Tennis Championships and will host semi-final action at the College. The Garnet (10-6, 8-1 Centennial) will host Haverford (10-4, 8-1 CC), the No. 3 seed, on Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. on the Edwin Faulkner Tennis Courts.
