Swarthmore Falls to Salisbury 6-3
SALISBURY, Md. - The Swarthmore men's tennis team (1-3) split with No. 30 Salisbury (2-1) during singles action but were unable pull out a doubles victory and fell short with a 6-3 loss.
Garnet sophomore Stephen Youngblood picked up a hard-fought 7-6, 6-3 victory over David Lupinetti for Swarthmore's first win of the match.
Youngblood's win sparked some momentum for the Garnet as sophomores Maxwell Bressman and Malikm Mubeen captured back-to-back victories. Bressman defeated Andrew Nottage in straights sets 6-4, 6-4 while Mubeen took down Marcus Robinson 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).
Swarthmore will return to the court on Saturday March 20 when TCNJ visits the Mullan Center. Action is slated to begin at 1 PM.
