Garnet Volleyball Digs for the Cure, Defeats Ursinus 3-0 for Fifth-Straight Win

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Sophomore Genny Pezzola had 13 kills and freshman Allie Coleman had 22 assists as the Garnet (18-6, 6-1 CC) took down Conference foe Ursinus (8-13, 2-6 CC) in straight sets 3-0 Wednesday night in Tarble Pavilion.

Field Hockey Falls to No. 3 Ursinus 9-0

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – No. 3 Ursinus got two goals each from Alyssa Thren and Megan Yoder, as the high-powered Bears overwhelmed the Swarthmore field hockey team 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon from Clothier Field Stadium. Krista Scheirer made three defensive saves for the Garnet.

Garnet Golf Takes Third at Inaugural Swarthmore Fall Invitational

WILMINGTON, Del. – Josh Feldschneider of Rutgers-Camden shot an even-par 71 to capture first place at the inaugural Swarthmore Fall Invitational from Rock Manor Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware. Host Swarthmore fared well as a team, combining for a 332, good for a third-place tie with Neumann. Cabrini came in second place as a team with a score of 322, while Muhlenberg took fifth with 335.

Garnet Volleyball Goes 2-0 in Tri-Meet with Rowan and Stevenson

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Swarthmore traveled to Rowan University on Saturday to battle it out in a tri-meet with Rowan and Stevenson. Sophomore Genny Pezzola had 23 kills and 48 digs for the Garnet as they defeated Rowan 3-0 and Stevenson 3-2.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Whether rain, wind, cold or sleet, the No. 6 Swarthmore College men’s soccer team just keeps winning games. Senior captain Dylan Langley scored on a blast from the top of the box in the 16th minute and the Swat defense held off a late-attacking Franklin & Marshall offense as the No. 6 Garnet (13-1, 5-1) defeated the Diplomats 1-0 on a cold, wet Saturday night from Clothier Field Stadium.

Garnet Cross Country Takes Third at Seven Sisters; Rose, Deluca Named To All-Championship Team

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Sophomore Hannah Rose (19:06) crossed the finish-line in fourth place and senior Lauren Deluca took ninth (19:44) as the Swarthmore College women’s cross country team finished in third place at the 28th annual Seven Sisters Championship from Mount Holyoke College on Saturday morning. For their Top 10 finish, both Rose and DeLuca were named to the All-Championship team.

Field Hockey Falls to Conference Rival Muhlenberg 4-1

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -Senior Joslyn Young scored a first half goal on a penalty stroke for the Swarthmore College field hockey team (5-9, 1-4), but the Garnet were unable to overcome the Muhlenberg offense, losing 4-1 on Wednesday evening.
