Garnet Golf Takes Third at Inaugural Swarthmore Fall Invitational
WILMINGTON, Del. – Josh Feldschneider of Rutgers-Camden shot an even-par 71 to capture first place at the inaugural Swarthmore Fall Invitational from Rock Manor Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware.
Rutgers-Camden also captured the team title, shooting a combined 312 for first place.
Chris Lawler of Cabrini came in second place, shooting a five-over 76. He was followed by La Salle's Randy Kuzinsky (77), Penn's Ross Merrill (77) and Scott Cahayla of USP (78) to round out the top five.
Host Swarthmore fared well as a team, combining for a 332, good for a third-place tie with Neumann. Cabrini came in second place as a team with a score of 322, while Muhlenberg took fifth with 335.
Freshman Craig Pentrack led the Garnet individually, shooting a team-low nine over-par 80.
The Garnet team shot a solid round of golf as everyone on the team broke 90. Sophomores Alex Nichamin and Paul Weston tied for 18th both posting 83. Senior Jeff Lazarus put up an 86 and freshman Kyle Krainock finished with an 87.
The Swarthmore Fall Invitational was hosted and sponsored by the Rock Manor Country Club.
The Swarthmore Invitational marked the Garnet's last fall competition. Spring competition will resume in March.
