CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Sophomore Rosie DuBrin, freshman Stephanie Chia and freshman Kelsey Johnson all picked up victories in singles and doubles play as the Swarthmore College women’s tennis team (7-3, 5-0) remained unbeaten in Centennial Conference play with an impressive 7-2 victory over Washington College on a hot Wednesday afternoon.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The reigning NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse champions and current No. 2 Franklin & Marshall Diplomats (8-1, 4-0 CC) visited Clothier Field on Tuesday night and handled the Swarthmore women’s lacrosse team (6-4, 0-4 CC) with a 17-7 victory. Sophomore Marie Mutryn highlighted the Garnet offense with five goals.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Fueled by a clutch three-hit, three RBI performance from junior Krista Scheirer, the Swarthmore College softball team (10-16, 3-5) built a commanding nine-run lead and held on late to defeat defending Centennial Conference champion Muhlenberg 9-7 in the second game of a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. The Mules took the first game 2-0.

Haverford Hammers Swat Baseball, 12-4

HAVERFORD, Pa. – An early deficit doomed the Swarthmore College baseball team once again, as Haverford used an eight-run first inning to get by the Garnet 12-4 in Centennial Conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Jimmy Gill paced the Garnet (12-11, 4-5) offense with two hits, including his fourth home run of the season.

Kelm, Wallwork Named Centennial Conference Performers of the Week

Swat Golf Wins Spring Home Opener

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. – The Swarthmore College golf team shot a 336 to defeat the University of Sciences of Philadelphia and Philadelphia University in its home opener at Rolling Green Country Club on Monday afternoon. Sophomore Paul Weston led the Garnet with a team low 73.

No. 24 Skidmore Slips By Garnet Tennis 6-3

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Senior Rachel Wallwork and freshman Emily Rosenblum both picked up singles and doubles on the day, but No. 24 Skidmore took the remaining six points en route to a 6-3 victory over the Swarthmore women’s tennis team on Sunday afternoon from the College.

The loss snaps a four-match winning streak for the Garnet (6-3, 4-0).
