Supercomputing Resources At Swarthmore
Swarthmore has received a startup allocation of time on the TeraGrid supercomputing network . We can provide faculty and students time on a variety of machines for education and research purposes (for free!). From TeraGrid’s website: Using high-performance network connections, the TeraGrid integrates high-performance computers, data resources and tools, and high-end experimental facilities around the country. Currently, TeraGrid resources include more than a petaflop of computing capability and more than 30 petabytes of online and archival data storage, with rapid access and retrieval over high-performance networks. During this month of holidays, you can be sure that you’ll be receiving greeting cards from malicious entities. The Swarthmore community has already been receiving emails, like the one below, containing links to retrieve a holiday greeting card that someone so thoughtfully sent (note the spelling errors): Unfortunately, the sender is someone intent on breaking into your system. ITS is offering monthly training workshops to help further develop your Argos skills. All interested parties are invited to join this open forum to discuss and learn about Argos.
