Garnet Women Go Back to Back, Win ECAC South Championships

FROSTBURG, Md. — Swarthmore senior goalkeeper Lauren Walker stopped Frostburg’s first attempt in the penalty-kick shootout and the Garnet converted all five of their attempts to capture the 2008 ECAC South Region Championship Sunday afternoon in snowy western Maryland. Walker was named Tournament MVP as the Garnet win their second consecutive ECAC South Championship.

LANCASTER, Pa. — The Swarthmore men’s soccer team had four student-athletes named to the All-Centennial team, as announced November 6. Seniors Jeff Kushner and Evan Nesterak were named to the first team, while junior Dylan Langley was selected to the second team and sophomore Morgan Langley was honorable mention.

LANCASTER, Pa. — The Swarthmore College women’s soccer team had four players selected to the 2008 All-Centennial list, following a vote by the conference head coaches. Garnet seniors Cait Mullarkey and Lauren Walker were named to the first team. Sophomore Megan Colombo and Laura Bolger were named to second team and honorable mention, respectively.
