Garnet Student-Athletes Selected to All-Sportsmanship Team

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Four Swarthmore student-athletes were named to the 2008 Fall Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team released by the conference office Thursday afternoon.

Each member institution was permitted to nominate one athlete from each program who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship.

Garnet senior defender Sarah Reynold (Potomac, Md. / Holton-Arms School) earned her second nod to the sportsmanship team for field hockey. Swarthmore senior defenders Alexa Bensimhon (Allentown, Pa. / Moravian Academy) and  Jeff Kushner (Norristown, Pa. / Methacton) earned the selection for men's soccer while junior setter Kearney Bangs (Kingston, Wash. / North Kitsap) was named to the team for volleyball.

This is the second year of the All-Centennial Sportsmanship team, which was proposed by the conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
