HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men’s indoor track team put on a strong performance in its final meet before the Centennial Conference Championships, as several different members of the Garnet met conference qualifying times as Swat competed at the Keogh Invitational from Haverford College on Friday evening.

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Making the most of its final meet before the Centennial Indoor Track Championships, the Swarthmore College women’s indoor track team saw several individuals meet Conference qualifying marks as the Garnet competed at the Keogh Invitational from Haverford College on Friday evening.
Senior Lauren DeLuca and sophomore Kenyetta Givans – two of the Garnet’s top performers all season – were excellent once again to lead the Garnet, with each earning top three finishes in the meet.

LANCASTER, Pa. – A strong start for Swarthmore College men’s swim team and the performance of freshman Jacob Benveniste highlighted the first day of the Centennial Conference Championships for the Garnet swim teams on Friday evening from Franklin & Marshall.
The Garnet men find themselves in second place with 207 points – trailing only the first place Diplomats (258) after the first day of competition. Benveniste was the lone Garnet swimmer to capture a top three finish, clocking in at 4:44.56 in the 500-yard freestyle.

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Swarthmore badminton team (4-1) defeated Haverford College 7-2 on Thursday evening. Senior Kim Kramer led the Garnet with dominating wins over Stephen Sacchetti 21-14 and 21-15.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The 2010 Swarthmore College women’s tennis team is hoping that the return of the two-time Centennial Conference Player of the Year, a pair of experienced upperclassmen and the influx of a large, talented freshmen class is enough to push the team over the top and back into the Centennial Conference playoffs and into title contention in 2010.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – After falling just short of a Centennial Conference championship in 2009 – losing in the title game to reigning champion Johns Hopkins – the Swarthmore College men’s tennis team returns to the courts in 2010 regrouped and focused in on a title, hoping that a very young but very talented crop of players can lead it to a conference championship and back into the NCAA Championships.

WESTMINSTER, Md. – It’s a victory that’s been a long time coming for the Swarthmore College men’s basketball team (7-17, 6-11 CC).
Senior captain Matt Allen scored 17 points on 4-of-6 shooting from behind the arc while freshman Will Gates drained 17 points and pulled down 8 rebounds as the Garnet defeated McDaniel (8-16, 4-13 CC) 62-51 from the Gill Center on Wednesday night.
