EWING, N.J. – With just one week to go until the 2010 Centennial Conference Track & Field Championships from Swarthmore College, sophomore Kenyetta Givans – a two-time gold medalist at the Indoor Championships – showed that she is once again going to be a force to be reckoned with, as she earned fifth-place finish in the women’s 100 meter hurdles (15.68) and 11th place finish in the women’s 100 meter dash (13.08) to lead the Swat track & field teams at the TCNJ Lions Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

PHILADELPHIA – Competing against schools from the Centennial and MAC conferences, the Swarthmore College women’s track & field 4×400 team – consisting of sophomore Kenyetta Givans, freshman Rebecca Hammond, sophomore Margret Lenfest, and senior Erin Ronhovde – took fourth place with a time of 4:06.59 from the historic Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia on Thursday evening.

CHESTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men’s and women’s track & field squads had an outstanding showing on Friday and Saturday at the Widener Invitational as 17 athletes would record Centennial Conference Championship qualifying performances.

EWING, N.J. – Freshman John McMinn earned a spot on the Garnet’s All-Time Top 10 list with a time of 8:55.56 in the men’s 3,000 meter run to lead the Swarthmore College men’s outdoor track & field team at TCNJ Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

POMONA, N.J. – Junior Chris Wickham captured first place in the steeplechase with a time of 10:27.98 to lead the Swarthmore College men’s outdoor track & field team at the Osprey Invitational at Richard Stockton College on Saturday afternoon.

CHESTER, Pa. – The Swarthmore College men’s and women’s outdoor track & field teams returned to action just down the road at nearby Widener, as both Garnet teams competed in the Danny Curran Invitational on Friday and Saturday evening.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College Department of Athletics and the Garnet Sports Network has released the live video and audio schedule for the 2010 spring sports season. The network will provide free live video from Clothier Field and free audio from the Clothier baseball and softball fields, totalingover 40 Swarthmore athletic events during the spring season.

During the 2009 fall and winter sports seasons, the Garnet Sports Network attracted over 8,500 viewers from all 50 states and 16 countries around the globe.

SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Swarthmore College outdoor track & field teams headed south to beautiful Savannah, Georgia to open up the 2010 season, competing in the Savannah State Tiger Relays over the weekend.

The Garnet women opened the season in record-breaking fashion, as the distance medley relay team of senior Mariel Feigen, sophomore Margret Lenfest, sophomore Katie Gonzalez , and freshman Rebecca Hammond broke the 16-year old school record with a time of 13:32.36.
