McMinn Earns Garnet Top 10 Time to Pace Swat Track at TCNJ

RESULTS

EWING, N.J. - Freshman John McMinn earned a spot on the Garnet's All-Time Top 10 list with a time of 8:55.56 in the men's 3,000 meter run to lead the Swarthmore College men's outdoor track & field team at TCNJ Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

McMinn took ninth overall with his performance.

Along with McMinn, the highlight for the other men came when several individuals booked their place in the Centennial Conference championships with qualifying times.

Junior Dan Kurz and senior Seth Green both earned qualifying times in the men's 800 meter run, finishing 10th (2:06.48) and 11th (2:06.77) respectively.

In the men's 110 meter hurdles, junior Chris Mayer-Bacon finished eighth overall, clocking in a time of 17.01 in the prelims and 18.01 in the finals.

Senior Zach Waterfire finished sixth in the men's long jump with a leap of 18-11.75, good enough for Centennial standards.

Finally, freshman Travis Mattingly booked a CC spot in the triple jump (38-00.25).

Swarthmore returns to action next Friday with the two day Widener Invite.
