Stockbower/Bodur Combo Strong Again, But Garnet Fall to Johns Hopkins 76-65
Thursday, December 3rd, 2009BALTIMORE – Swarthmore’s one-two punch of junior Kathryn Stockbower and senior Ceylan Bodur combined for 46 of the Garnet’s 65 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a balanced Johns Hopkins’ attack that saw four different players reach double figures, as the homestanding Blue Jays defeated the Garnet 76-65 in Centennial Conference women’s basketball action on Thursday night.
Stockbower finished with 21 points – leaving her just 11 points shy of becoming just the seventh player in program history to reach 1,000 career points – while pulling down 13 rebounds. Bodur scored a game-high 25 points on 7-of-14 shooting.
