BALTIMORE – Swarthmore’s one-two punch of junior Kathryn Stockbower and senior Ceylan Bodur combined for 46 of the Garnet’s 65 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a balanced Johns Hopkins’ attack that saw four different players reach double figures, as the homestanding Blue Jays defeated the Garnet 76-65 in Centennial Conference women’s basketball action on Thursday night.

Stockbower finished with 21 points – leaving her just 11 points shy of becoming just the seventh player in program history to reach 1,000 career points – while pulling down 13 rebounds. Bodur scored a game-high 25 points on 7-of-14 shooting.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore College Department of Athletics and the Garnet Sports Network has announced the live video schedule for the 2009-10 winter sports season. GLENSIDE, Pa. – Sophomore Marc Rogalski scored a career-high 22 points and the Swarthmore men’s basketball team erased a 14-point halftime deficit, but it was too little, too late, as homestanding Arcadia hung on for the 62-56 victory over the Garnet on Tuesday evening.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The Swarthmore men’s swimming team (2-3, 2-1) dominated visiting Ursinus 131-71, while the women’s competition (2-3, 1-2) came down to the final race, but the Garnet finished just short in a 106-99 loss on Tuesday evening from Ware Pool.
