Image of Africa courseblog

I’ve finally gotten my courseblog (and Twitter feed) for History 86, Image of Africa, fully set up. I’m really looking forward to this class: it’s become as much a class on the history of transmedia interactions as it is about the impact of representations of Africa. I’m also using the course to think about the disciplined use of online and digital resources, which should come out in some upcoming entries here.

Students will be posting their “spottings” of Africa-related tropes as the semester goes on, and I expect to post at least some of their written work from the course to the blog. If you’re interested in commenting there, send me an email at tburke1 @ swarthmore.edu.
