SWARTHMORE, Pa. – The major snow storm that is expected to hit the Mid-Atlantic region on Saturday and has forced the postponement of several Swarthmore College athletic events. Both of the home men’s and women’s basketball games against Johns Hopkins have been postponed until Sunday, February 7th, at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The men’s and women’s swimming meet at Dickinson (2:00 p.m.) and the men’s and women’s track meet at Haverford (11:00 a.m.) have also been postponed until Sunday.

INDIANAPOLIS – Former Swarthmore College student-athlete Caitlin Mullarkey has been selected as a semifinalist for the NCAA Woman of the Year award. Mullarkey is one of 30 women remaining in the contest, which has been narrowed down from 132 representatives covering all three NCAA divisions and multiple sports.

INDIANAPOLIS – Swarthmore College senior Caitlin Mullarkey ’09 has been selected as the Centennial Conference’s representative for the NCAA Woman of the Year award. Mullarkey is one of 132 women to be nominated for the award, with selections coming from all three NCAA divisions and multiple sports.

PHILADELPHIA – Swarthmore College senior Caitlin Mullarkey was named the 2008-09 Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Female Performer of the Year as voted on by the sports information offices of the 28 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Junior women’s tennis player Rachel Wallwork was also honored as the Tennis All-Area Performer of the Year, senior golfer David Lau ’09 earned a spot on the Men’s Golf Academic All-Area Team and Mullarkey was also honored as the Track & Field Performer of the Year.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Swarthmore senior Cait Mullarkey was selected to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District II cross-country/track & field team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Mullarkey is a first-team selection and will move onto the national ballot.

MARIETTA, Ohio. — Swarthmore senior Cait Mullarkey competed at her second NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships in two months, finishing 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at Don Drumm Stadium on the campus of Marietta College Friday afternoon.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. — Swarthmore senior Cait Mullarkey earned a spot in the 2009 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will take place on May 21-23 at Don Drumm Stadium on the campus of Marietta College in Ohio.
