Mullarkey Culminates Career at NCAA Championships

MARIETTA, Ohio. -- Swarthmore senior Cait Mullarkey competed at her second NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships in two months, finishing 11th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at Don Drumm Stadium on the campus of Marietta College Friday afternoon.

Mullarkey (Wilmington, Del. / Ursuline Academy) posted a time of 10:54.09 to finish 11th out of 19 runners.

The senior concludes her stellar four-year running career with four program records, including the steeplechase.  In March, Mullarkey ran fifth in the indoor mile at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship meet to become the second Swarthmore female to earn All-America for indoor track, joining Imo Akpan ’02, who received the honor for 400 meters in 2002.
