COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Micah Rose scored the game-winning goal on a free kick in the 56th minute and assisted on junior Morgan Langley’s game-tying goal in the 32nd minute as the No. 6 Swarthmore men’s soccer team (11-1, 4-1) shook off a sluggish start to defeat Ursinus 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

PONOMA, N.J.- Down 1-0 heading into the final 20 minutes of play, reigning Centennial Conference Player of the Week Morgan Langley tied the game in the 74th minute and sophomore David Sterngold scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute to lead the No. 6 Swarthmore men’s soccer team (10-1, 3-1) to a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Richard Stockton on Wednesday night.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Junior Morgan Langley scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute – his third of the game- on a bicycle kick in front of the net to give the No. 7 Swarthmore College men’s soccer team (9-1, 3-1) a dramatic 4-3 victory over Gettysburg College on Saturday night from Clothier Field Stadium.

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Coming off its first loss of the season, the No. 7 Swarthmore College men’s soccer team certainly played liked a team that had something to prove against conference-rival Washington College. Six different players found the back of the net as the Garnet (8-1, 2-1) completely dominated the visiting Shoremen in all facets of the game for a 6-0 victory on Wednesday night from Clothier Field Stadium.

CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson’s Thomas Parkinson scored on a penalty kick in the 7th minute of the first overtime, as the No. 12 Red Devils upset the No. 3/9 Swarthmore men’s soccer team 1-0 on a rainy Saturday afternoon in Central Pennsylvania. The loss is the Garnet’s (7-1, 1-1) first of the 2009 season.

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Junior Morgan Langley and sophomore Henry Ainley each scored two goals and senior Omari Faakye scored the first goal of his career as the No. 3/9 Swarthmore men’s soccer team (7-0, 1-0) continued its recent string of dominant performances, defeating Immaculata 5-0 on Wednesday evening.

KANSAS CITY, MO. – The Swarthmore College men’s and women’s soccer teams each moved up one spot in the latest edition of the D3 Soccer poll released on Tuesday. The men climbed to No. 3 in the rankings after knocking off Johns Hopkins 1-0, while the women moved from No. 19 to No. 18. after splitting a pair of games against nationally-ranked TCNJ (L 0-2) and Dickinson (W 1-0).
