Kaleidagraph 4.1.2 for OS X Lion (10.7) now available

ITS has just made Kaleidagraph 4.1.2 for Lion available from the ITS software page for all College faculty, staff and students to use. This latest update offers the following enhancements: Added support for the Intel Macintosh. The installer will install the correct version based on the processor in your computer. Bitmap file export such as BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF now uses QuickTime to generate the export files. As a result, several new options are available for some of the formats such as byte ordering, LZW compression, and variable JPEG export quality. Adobe CS5 Suite for Mac now available

The Adobe CS 5 Suite for Macintosh is now available from the ITS software page for all College faculty, staff and students to use. This version, brings with it a host of new features that people have been clamoring for, here at the College, and returns us to parity between the Mac and Windows versions. Moodle Workshops and Drop In Consulting Times

Moodle is replacing Blackboard as Swarthmore’s learning management system.  While Blackboard will be available until June 2012, ITS is encouraging faculty to switch their courses to Moodle before the last minute. ITS will be hosting Moodle training and consulting on August 23-25 (Tuesday – Thursday) in the ITS Media Center (Beardsley 114). From 1:30PM – 2:30PM each day, we will have an Introduction to Moodle workshop. From 2:30PM – 4PM each day we will have consulting time where faculty and staff can drop by to work on their courses or ask questions about Moodle. Voice Mail Maintenance This Friday,8/19, 5-6 PM

ITS will be applying a minor upgrade to the Voice Mail system this Friday, 8/19, between 5 and 6 PM. During this time, callers will continue to be able to leave new voice mail messages but these new messages will not be available to recipients until the upgrade is complete.
