Gaming Extravaganza – December 11th in Kohlberg 326 (LRC)

Adobe Creative Cloud is Here!!!

ITS is happy to announce the release of Adobe Creative Cloud! This software can be downloaded from our ITS Software page. What you need to know: Despite the fact that Adobe chose to name the new version “Creative Cloud”, the software is not cloud software and will still be installed locally on to your Mac or PC. The new license allows us to install Adobe Creative Cloud only on college owned computers. Faculty and staff will be able to access the Creative Cloud applications on College-provided laptops on or off campus without needing to connect with the keyserver. Please hold off on updating to Mavericks OS X 10.9

You may have heard Apple today announced that OS X 10.9 Mavericks is available as a free update today.  However, at this time ITS is recommending that community members NOT update to Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks yet. New Coordinator for the Beardsley Media Center Arrives

Q: What do Antarctica, Brazil, and the Beardsley Media Center have in common? A: They’re all places that Jeremy Polk has worked. Jeremy Polk joined ITS last week in the role of Media Center Coordinator. Jeremy previously worked as a media producer at the National Science Foundation, where he specialized in documentary filmmaking and media technology support. In 2010-11, he directed and produced three short documentary videos in Antarctica for the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) Ice Core Project, for which he was awarded the Antarctica Service Medal of the United States of America.
