Garnet Baseball Blasts By Ursinus, 14-3

SWARTHMORE, Pa. -A strong starting pitching performance from junior Kyle Crawford and another big day from the Garnet offense was more than enough as the Swarthmore College baseball team (16-11, 8-5 CC) dominated visiting Ursinus 14-3 in a crucial Centennial Conference battle on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon from Clothier Field.

Swat Baseball, Softball Postponed

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Rain has forced the postponement of today’ss scheduled softball
doubleheader (vs. Washington) and baseball game (vs. Ursinus) from the College. The baseball game has been rescheduled for tomorrow (3:30), while softball is still to be determined.

Streaking Garnet Take Two From Gettysburg, 11-6 and 12-6

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – It was a doubles party for Swarthmore in its doubleheader from Gettysburg, as the Garnet finished the day with nine doubles as part of a 26 hit, 21 run offensive explosion, sweeping the twinbill with the Bullets 11-6 and 12-6 on Saturday afternoon from the Battlefield.

Swarthmore (15-11, 7-5) has now won three consecutive games and with 15 victories on the season, has surpassed last season’s conference and overall win totals and reached its highest program win total since 1996 (17).

Jensen Leads Swat Past Haverford, 7-4

HAVERFORD, Pa. – An early deficit doomed the Swarthmore College baseball team once again, as Haverford used an eight-run first inning to get by the Garnet 12-4 in Centennial Conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Jimmy Gill paced the Garnet (12-11, 4-5) offense with two hits, including his fourth home run of the season.

No. 14 Johns Hopkins Powers Past Garnet Baseball, 15-4 and 15-3

BALTIMORE – No. 14 Johns Hopkins used the power of the long ball, blasting nine home runs and pushing 30 runs across the plate to sweep a Saturday afternoon doubleheader with the Swarthmore College baseball team 15-4 and 15-3 in Centennial Conference action.

CHESTERTOWN, MD – It was Mike Waterhouse to the rescue once again for the Swarthmore College baseball team.

For the second time in a little over a week, the sophomore came through in the clutch for Swat, this time driving home the game-winning run with an RBI single in the 10th inning to lead the Garnet (12-7, 4-1) to a thrilling 3-2, 10 inning win over Washington College on Thursday afternoon in Centennial Conference baseball action.
