Shang Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week for Volleyball

LANCASTER, Pa. - Junior Lisa Shang of the Swarthmore College volleyball team has been named the Centennial Conference Performer of the Week for the week ending September 8, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Shang helped the Garnet earn the championship at the Moravian Greyhound Premiere, earning tournament MVP honors after averaging 3.4 digs per set. For the opening week,  Shang averaged 3.72 digs per set  with a total of 67 digs while averaging .33 service aces per set. Shang also had only six reception errors in 69 attempts.

The Garnet (4-1), off to its best start since 2005, is back in action on Friday against Albright (4:00)  in the opening game of the Garnet Classic.
