Garnet Open Season in SC
CONWAY, S.C. -- The Swarthmore outdoor track & field team open up their spring schedule at the Coastal Carolina/Asics Invitational this past weekend.
Hurdle specialist Kenyetta Givans ’12 (Conshohocken, Pa. / Plymouth-Whitemarsh) clocked in at 15.81 seconds for tenth place in the women’s 100-meter hurdles, she now lists second all-time on the Swarthmore top-ten list.
Senior Dan Hodson (Trumbull, Conn. / Fairfield Prep) placed eighth in the men’s 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:04.79.
On the field side freshman Daniel Ly (Hershey, Pa. / Hershey) finished ninth in the men’s triple jump with a leap of 12.90-meters.
The Garnet will take the week off before competing in the annual Danny Curran Invite at Widener University on Saturday, March 28th. First gun is set to fire at 10:00 a.m.
