Although a small group of 15 women, the 2008 edition of the Swarthmore field hockey united as a team to compete together as a stable force.
The Garnet female harriers began the year with a pre-season national ranking of 27th in all Division III according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association’s Division III Cross Country National Poll. The team hit the trails with a determination and the results shone through at the weekly meets.
The 2008 men’s cross country team saw several personal-best times and another strong showing at the NCAA Regional Meet at the end of the season.
