Garnet Fall to Nationally Ranked Eagles

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. -- Swarthmore fell to their second nationally ranked women's tennis team over this past weekend. On Sunday #7 Mary Washington (15-3) rolled past the Garnet (6-4) with a score of 9-0 at the Battleground Complex.

Garnet sophomore Rachel Wallwork (Washington, D.C. / Georgetown Day) ended her seven match win streak in the number one singles against Eagles junior Becky Morse-Karzen with scores of 6-3 and 6-3. Wallwork sits at the top of the Centennial Conference number one singles list for her efforts this season.

The Garnet will continue their road travel when they to Centennial foe Dickinson on Thursday, April 10 at 3:30 p.m.
