Frampton Comes Alive Garnet Top Terror
Andrew Frampton '08 won the 1,000 freestyle and the 500 freestyle to lead the Garnet to a 78-59 victory over visiting McDaniel in the Centennial Conference opener.
Frampton captured the 1,000 in the second fastest time in school history. He touched the wall in 10:10.56 just missing out on the school record of 10:09.98 set by Mark Friedberg '98 in 1995. In the 500, Frampton cruised to victory in 5:02.61 besting second place by over 38 seconds.
The Garnet captured the first five races en route to the easy victory. Jeff Schneider '05, Kaena Horowitz '06, Wootae Min '07, and Andrew Koczo '07 opened the meet by winning the 400 medley relay in 4:00.8.
Mike Auerbach '05 won the 200 freestyle in 1:53.48 and Koczo earned his second win of the day when he led a sweep of the 50 freestyle in 23:06 with Jon Augat '07 and Tristan Lawson '08. Anders Taylor '07 touched the wall first in the 200 IM (2:04.82) to give the Garnet a 69-10 lead.
The Garnet move to 1-1 overall on the season and 1-0 in the Centennial. They return to action on Saturday, November 13 when 2004 CC Champion Franklin & Marshall visits Ware Pool at 2:00 p.m.
