F&M Edges Garnet
Franny Zhang '08 was a triple-winner at Ware Pool on Saturday afternoon, but it was not enough as defending Centenial Conference Franklin & Marshall squeaked out a 114-91 victory over Swarthmore.
Zhang took victory in both the 100 free (55.12) and 200 free (1:59.79), while teaming with Jennie Lewis '08, Sarah Cotcamp '07, and Whitney Nekoba '08 to take the 200 meter freestyle relay in a time of 1:43.16.
Lewis also took victory in the 100 butterfly, cruising in with the winning time of 1:00.31. Katherine Reid '05 was the only other Garnet winner, claiming the 1000 freestyle in a time of 11:03.90, besting the second place finisher by almost eight seconds.
The Garnet women (2-1, 1-1 CC) travel north to New York City on Saturday afternoon to compete against NYU, starting at 2:00 p.m.
