The Swarthmore College Libraries and ITS are pleased to announce the selections for this year’s Special Projects for Educational Exploration & Development (SPEED) program. 2014 Blended Learning in the Liberal Arts Conference (hosted by Bryn Mawr College)

Bryn Mawr College announced that the third annual Blended Learning in the Liberal Arts Conference will be held on 21-22 May 2014. Advance registration by May 15 is required. Registration is free for Swarthmore College faculty and staff. This conference is part of the college’s Blended Learning in the Liberal Arts Initiative, funded by Next Generation Learning Challenges and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. We recently heard from one of the nearly 700 of you who are already using lynda.swarthmore.edu to help you learn on your own schedule.  Brady White ’15 has been using Lynda.com videos to help learn how to use SolidWorks 2014, a program that allows you to design objects to be printed on a 3D printer. For the past two summers, ITS & the Libraries have been creating academic web and digital media projects through a program called Swarthmore Projects for Educational Exploration and Development (SPEED).
