Garnet Golf Takes First at Fall-Opening Philadelphia University Tri-Match

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. - Freshman Jeff Wall and junior co-captain Paul Weston fired 77s to claim first place and lead the Swarthmore College golf team to a first-place finish at the Philadelphia University Tri-Match at the ACE Club in Lafayette Hill on Saturday afternoon.

Weston tied for the team-lead with a 77.

As a team the Garnet shot 322, besting host Philadelphia University (331) and Widener  (456).

Sam White finished in third place on the team with an 83, followed by a pair of 85s by the California kids, Kyle Knapp and Kyle Krainock.

The Garnet will swing into action again on October 4 when they host the 2nd Annual Swarthmore Invitational at the Rock Manor Golf Course.
