Lacrosse Women Earn IWLCA Academic Awards
Grand Lake, Colo. - Allison Grein ’10 and Carey Pietsch ’10 of the Swarthmore Women’s Lacrosse team were named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll Squad, the organization announced recently.
Grein and Piestch were two of 151 student-athletes from 62 academic institutions honored for their academic performance during the 2009-2010 school year. All students were nominated by their schools and have obtained at least junior standing and a 3.5 GPA.
The Garnet women as a team were also named an Academic Squad by the IWLCA. Swarthmore was one of fifty Colleges and Universities chosen by maintaining a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
