Weston Tied for Second After Round One of Centennial Conference Golf Championships
ELVERSON, Pa. - The Swarthmore College golf team sits in fourth place after round one of the Centennial Conference golf championships with a score of 315. Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg share the lead with 305.
Sophomore Paul Weston leads the Garnet, finishing the first 18 holes tied for second place with score of 74, trailing the leader by two strokes.
In the field of seven teams and 35 players, two Swat golfers stand in the top 10 after Saturday's round one action at the Stonewall Golf Club.
Weston sits in second place while freshman Kyle Krainock's 75 trails him by only one stroke and is tied for sixth place.
Bringing in the Garnet's third low round was senior Jeff Lazarus, playing in his final Conference championship and carding a 82 after 18 holes.
Sophomore Alex Nichamin brought in Swarthmore's final low score with an 84 while freshman Jake Carter would finish with an 88.
The Garnet golf team will close out rounds two and three of the Centennial Conference championships tomorrow. Tee-off is scheduled for 10 AM.
