Freshmen Steal Show as Swat Golf Blows By USP, 313-346
WILMINGTON, Del. - Freshmen Jake Carter and Kyle Krainock stole the show for the Swarthmore College golf team, shooting a career-low 74 and 75 respectively to lead the Garnet past the Philadelphia University of the Sciences 313-346 on a windy Friday afternoon from the Rock Manor Golf Club.
Carter shot a team-low 74 to lead Swat against USP.
Senior Jeff Lazarus and sophomore Paul Weston finished right behind the freshmen combo, with each shooting an 82 for the day. Sophomore Alex Leichter finished fifth for the Garnet with a score of 103.
Swarthmore returns to action on Monday when it hosts Drexel, Penn, La Salle, and Hartford Community College from the Rolling Green Golf Club.
