Weston in Second Place Heading Into Final Round of McDaniel Spring Golf Invitational
ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Sophomore Paul Weston shot a team-low 74, finishing the first round of the McDaniel Spring Invitational tied for second place in a field of 78 to highlight the Swarthmore College golf team's performance on Saturday afternoon.
As a team, the Garnet find themselves tied for ninth place with a score of 324 after the first day.
Sophomore Alex Nichamin shot a blazing 38 on the back nine, bringing his total to 81 (t-29) for the day. Senior Jeff Lazarus was next for the Garnet with a score of 84 , while freshmen Craig Pentrack (85) and Kyle Krainock (89) followed closely behind.
The final round will tee off on Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
