Swarthmore traveled to Altoona, Pa. on Saturday to resume its ECAC tournament play against the Stevenson Mustangs.  The field conditions weren't a help for either team as the rainy weather conditions made the field almost unplayable.  The Garnet offense didn't let the tough playing conditions bother them much as they out shot the Mustangs 8-5.

The game was a defensive showdown until the Garnet offense struck early in the second half when junior Hannah Purkey fed a perfect pass to Luongo who fired a deep shot from 25 yards out into the top left corner of the Stevenson net to put the Garnet up 1-0.

Junior Laura Bolger and the Swarthmore defense held off the Mustang offense for the rest of the game to give the Garnet the win and propel them into a third consecutive ECAC championship game.  Sophomore Marie Mutryn had five saves to record her 11th shutout of the season.

The Garnet will play its final game of the year and attempt  to defend its ECAC Tournament title on Sunday against the Penn State - Behrend Lady Lions at Noon.
