Swat Golfers Compete at Bent Creek Invitational
LITITZ, Pa. - Sophomore Paul Weston shot a team-low score of 83 to pace the Swarthmore College golf team at the Bent Creek Invitational, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College, on Monday afternoon from Lancaster County.
Weston finished the day 12 strokes-over-par and tied for 25th place overall. This marks the second consecutive fall match that Weston has been Swat's low-scorer.
As a team, the Garnet finished in 13th place of the 20 team-field with a score of 352.
Freshman Craig Pentracil was the Garnet's next top finisher, completing the course with a +15 score of 86, good for 39th place. Senior Kelly Schoolmaster (90/+19/t65) and sophomore Alex Liechter (93, +22, 76) rounded out the small field for Swarthmore.
The Garnet return to action on Monday, October 19 when it hosts the Swarthmore Fall Invitational from Rock Manor Golf Course in Wilmington, Delaware.
