Freshman Sophia Agathis had a goal and an assist in Sunday's win over Manhattanville.

Swarthmore came to play on Sunday afternoon coming off of a tough loss to McDaniel Saturday night.  The Garnet were on the board in under three minutes when freshman Sophia Agathis single-handedly beat the keeper to put the first goal of the game in.  The rest of the first half seemed to be all about the Swarthmore offense as they managed to get 14 shots on goal.  The Valiants' keeper Danielle Scicutella kept her team alive before teammate  Kayla Meenan tied it up in with a goal the 19th minute.

The Garnet offense rebounded in the second half when freshman Katie Teleky scored the go ahead goal in the 48th minute.  Only a minute later Swarthmore  stormed down the field and surprised Manhattanville with another goal.  Agathis fed a perfect ball to McCabe who finished it off to put the Garnet up 3-1.

The Valiants made it interesting, scoring its second goal in the 6oth minute, but it was too little to late for Manhattanville as Swarthmore recorded its fifth win 3-2.

The Garnet return to action on Wednesday October 7th when they visit Arcadia.  The match-up is slated to begin at 4 PM.
