Hodson and Mullarkey Named CC Athletes of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore seniors Dan Hodson and Cait Mullarkey both received Centennial Co-Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

Mullarkey (Wilmington, Del. / Ursuline Academy) set a school record in the mile run at the Delaware Winter Invitational on January 9, clocking in at 5:08.82 to win the Division II & III event. It’s the second school record for Mullarkey; she also holds the mark in the 3,000 steeplechase.

Mullarkey shared the women’s weekly honor with Muhlenberg junior Alex Faust for her efforts at the Kutztown Invitational.

Hodson (Trumbull, Conn. / Fairfield Prep), a long-distance specialist, won the men's Division II & III mile run with a personal-best time of 4:38.56.

Hodson shares the weekly accolade with Muhlenberg senior Stuart Udis, who won the 1,000-meter and 4x800-meter relay at the Kutztown Invitational.

The Garnet teams travel to New York City on Friday, January 16th to compete in the annual Gotham Invitational hosted by New York University at the New York City Armory.
