Violets Sweep Past Garnet
NEW YORK -- The power-house New York University swim teams, both ranked in the top-20 nationwide, swept Swarthmore in a non-conference dual meet at the Palladium Athletic Facility in Manhattan Saturday afternoon.
The Violets won 135-63 on the women's side, and posted a winning score of 126-78 on the men’s side.
The Garnet women dipped to 2-2 overall as sophomore Chelsea Brett (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Trinity) picked up a victory in the 100-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 57.25.
The Swarthmore men drop to 1-3 overall on the season.
The Garnet swim teams look to rebound at Ursinus on Tuesday, November 25 with a Centennial Conference dual meet slated to start at 6:00 p.m. in Collegeville, Pa.
