Swarthmore Falls to Wesleyan in Season Opener
SWARTHMORE, Pa. -- Wesleyan came up with a 64-47 victory over host Swarthmore early Saturday evening at the 11th Annual Swarthmore Tip-Off Tournament in Tarble Pavilion. Swarthmore sophomore Kathryn Stockbower notched a double-double, earning game-highs 19 rebounds and 17 points.
The Garnet will return to Tarble Pavilion tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. to host Alvernia in the consolation round, while Mary Washington and Weslyan will compete for the championship at 4:00 p.m.
