Womens Lacrosse Team Named IWLCA Academic Squad

The Swarthmore women's lacrosse team was recently selected as a 2008 Academic Squad sponsored by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

Three Garnet rising seniors, Annie Carter (Nahant, Mass. / The Putney School), Hannah Jaicks (Ridgewood, N.J. / Dwight-Englewood) and Marissa Schaffer (Moreland Hill, Ohio / Laurel School), were also selected for the Academic Honor Roll.

Swarthmore was among 55 teams in Divisional III to receive this honor, along with six schools from the Centennial Conference. To be selected, an entire team must have a collective GPA of 3.0 or greater. To earn a spot on the individual Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have a minimum GPA of 3.2 and hold junior-year status.
