Sendelsky Named ECAC All-Star

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Swarthmore softball player Christine Sendelsky was named to the 2008 Division III Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region Softball All-Star team on June 18. Sendelsky, a junior captain, was a second-team selection.

Sendelsky (Edison, N.J. / John P. Stevens) is the first Swarthmore player to be named to the E.C.A.C. All-Star team, joining Lauren Davis from Ursinus as the lone Centennial Conference players on the list.

Sendelsky started all 43 games at second base for the Garnet, hitting .319 with 43 hits, 10 doubles, 25 runs and 17 RBIs. She has started all 118 games in her career at Swarthmore, surpassing the 100-hit mark earlier this season. Sendelsky was named all-Conference for the third time in three seasons (the first Garnet player to do so) and was also selected all-Region for a second time.
